WHO WE ARE
A full-service digital agency built, owned,
& democratically controlled by its members
OUR COMMUNITY COLLECTIVE, POWERED BY THE PEOPLE
CoCo was formed in 2023 by a team of creatives, marketers, activists & organizers. We are a digital marketing and creative consultancy guided by radical and revolutionary ideas that ethically and positively influence our communities.

Our existence is a testament to the potential of workers retaining ownership of their labor within an ethical practice, for public good. CoCo aims to inspire networks of like-minded peoples as we work towards a better world.
POWER CONCEDES NOTHING WITHOUT DEMAND
We proudly work with our clients so that all of our connected communities can achieve the equity, justice, and care that we are all owed.
OUR MISSIONS
1. TO SET A NEW STANDARD FOR WORKER EMPOWERMENT
We aim to set a new standard for worker empowerment within our connected communities; one that ensures ownership of and equitable compensation for their labor. We aim to shift narratives about what it means to work ethically in the marketing, communications, and creative industries.
2. TO EMPOWER PROGRESSIVE ORGANIZATIONS
We empower progressive organizations, small businesses, and individuals by elevating voices, building power, strengthening influence, and shaping the conversation around their work.
Our clients are changing the world, and we love being a part of that.
STATEMENT OF ETHICS AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES
At CoCo, we oppose all prejudice and discrimination on grounds of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, including HIV and AIDS, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, or military and veteran status or any other status protected by law.
We recognize that fascism took hold on stolen land from its inception and resurges today in a political climate that is targeting autonomy, race, gender, sexual expression, and healthcare. We will continue to oppose all prejudice and discrimination should any of these once protected laws and human rights be stripped away.
We believe there is a moral obligation and duty to disobey unjust laws and will act accordingly.
We believe in creating, promoting, and sustaining an equitable society. We recognize that in order to do so we must uplift those who were previously denied those rights. We do not want seats at the table–we are flipping the table over and creating a beautifully new construct. By centering Indigenous, Black, Brown, differently-abled, and gender nonconforming folks we are valuing and protecting the unique intersections of our lives, and the lives of all who are owed a decolonized space to thrive.
We will seek to promote a plurality of lifestyles and cultures.
We oppose the economic, social, and sexual oppression of people of all genders.
We promote full employment, health care, appropriate child care, and thriving wages as a recognition of the human right to economic security with provisions of well-being, to ensure that our needs are met.
We recognize each human being’s right to control their own body, including during pregnancy, and in conducting activities or lifestyles that others may deem “dangerous.”
We uphold the right of the collective and the individual to self-determination, free from threats of violence, harassment, theft, extortion, and exploitation.
We defend the rights to free speech, free expression, free assembly, and freedom to pursue individual and collective goals, insofar as these rights do not impinge on the rights of another.
We are actively opposed to all forms of political and cultural repression or discrimination which deny the capabilities and potentials of the individual.
We oppose capitalism as an economic system which is reliant upon exploitation.
We are vehemently opposed to imperialism and colonization as an economic tool of capitalism and white supremacy. We support all colonized peoples and believe they should be free. We recognize that the supremacist’s Doctrine of Discovery and Manifest Destiny have allowed for the oppression of Black and Brown First Nations around the world, and justified the extraction, exploitation, and transfers of wealth to the Global North. We condemn the intentional underdevelopment of colonized lands and peoples throughout the Global South for the explicit profit of the Global North and Imperial Core.
We adamantly oppose the invention, development, manufacture, sale and use of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons and the irresponsible transfer and disproportionate use of conventional weapons within the Global North.
Under the strongest of terms, we know war is not healthy for human beings and for all other beings. We adamantly oppose the Global North’s violent history of war to subjugate the Global South. As the largest source of pollution on the planet and entity responsible for the highest amount of lives lost, we condemn the United States Military and all branches that fund and enable it.
We believe that prisons, police, and all other institutions that inflict violence on Black, Brown, Indigenous, Disabled, Queer, and Working Class people must be abolished and replaced by institutions that value and affirm the flourishing of our lives.
We recognize the violence of our current economic and social systems and call for the redistribution of wealth to the People as a revolutionary means to finally be afforded the care we are owed. In recognizing our humanity and the well-being of all living beings on this planet, we support common ownership of the means of industrial and cultural production, and distribution (including housing, education, banks, food, and health), as a move toward non-exploitative ways of working.
The principles of equality of opportunity, an egalitarian system of wealth, ownership, and control, and collective and individual rights guide us in our policy.
We remain in support of anti-capitalist theory, political parties, and organizations. Our attitude to any political party will be guided by the extent to which its policies and practices align with our objectives and values.
